Having been awarded the John Malone medal for his excellence in operative dentistry, Tom achieved his qualification from The Queens University, Belfast, in 1978. Alongside his entry into general practice, for a decade, Tom maintained his connection with Queens University Dental School through his work as a clinical teacher in periodontics (gums).
Tom pursued significant post-graduate education in endodontics (root canal therapy); furthermore, he successfully completed the highly regarded Advanced Restorative Dentistry course offered by the Eastman Dental Institute in London. The year 2011 saw Tom's qualification for the prestigious Masters in Medical Science in Dental Implantology at Sheffield University.
To continuously enhance his expertise, Tom regularly participates in both local and international educational programs, with a particular focus on cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
Beyond the confines of his practice, Tom possesses a broad interest in dentistry. Serving as chairman of the local dental committee and holding membership in governmental dental strategy committees are among his past roles. Tom holds memberships in esteemed organisations such as the British Endodontic Society, the British Society of Periodontology, and the Association of Dental Implantology.
